In 2006 Ooochie Koo was founded by Dawn Lynn Brown. In 1979 Dawn was given her first leather handbag from her eldest sister, that created her love for luxury handbags. For many years after she would collect new and used handbags. In 1999 she would go on to Pastry of Arts classes, architect classes, and then receiving a degree in interior design. In 2006 in her dining room Dawn took what she learned from her design lessons and created the Ooochie Koo Brand. Ooochie Koo then went on to sell in various boutiques throughout the Philadelphia area. Today Ooochie Koo is managed by family members and continues to grow.
